Want to Grow?

How do people make the journey from no experience of Christian faith to becoming a mature disciple?  As people experience worship at EUM Church, they are invited to take their first step into an intentional pathway.  Our Discipleship Pathway will help them on a journey of faith towards loving God and others more and becoming fully submitted followers of Christ.

EUM's Discipleship Pathway

  • Pizza with the Pastor – Begin your journey with a complementary lunch held the last Saturday and Sunday of each month for those new to EUM and interested in finding out more before taking their next step.  Meet Pastor Jeff and others from the church family.
  • Essential Beliefs – Build a solid foundation for your Christian faith and learn to navigate your way around the Bible.
  • Beyond Believing-Membership – A submitted Christian lifestyle goes beyond believing. Learn the core principles that guide a fully submitted follower. This is a prerequisite to membership at EUM.
  • Discovering Your Purpose – A journey of discovery as we take a close-up look at your spiritual gifts, personal ministry style and God-given passion as you were uniquely designed by God for a purpose.
  • Experiencing God – Experience God is about experiencing Him in an intimate love relationship through which He reveals to you His will, His ways and His work.
  • Community Groups – This is your vital connection in small groups of people who gather regularly for a vital connection, deeper understanding of God’s Word and how it applies to your everyday life.
  • Ministry Teams – There are a variety of ministry teams where you can use your talents, gifts and experiences to serve and witness to others.
  • Electives – Classes and groups that increase your knowledge and understanding of spiritual disciplines, the Bible and how to apply it to daily life.
  • Caring Connection - Ministries that support through prayer and caring and help move those who are hurting from brokenness toward wholeness.

Spiritual Practices

Each of the six spiritual practices below are essential to your faith development. Even if one is missing there will be a gaping hole in your ability to fulfill Jesus’ greatest command to love God and others more. We have provided a notebook to encourage you in these six practices called “My Faith”.  Pick one up at the Welcome Center in the Worship Center lobby for $5 or click on the "My Faith" notebook and download the materials for free to create your own.

LOVING GOD MORE!

1)  Personal Devotion is our quality time with God each day and unless we spend time with God we can never truly learn to love God.  So take advantage of the GPS (GrowPrayStudy)  devotionals in your bulletin each week! Or check out one of the other great devotional links. (If you miss worship remember to download these from the web)

2)  Corporate Worship is essential to loving God more. So make it a point not to miss a single week of passionate worship @ EUM! (Check out the new series coming up) And be sure each week to take notes during worship using the sermon notes. This little discipline will enhance your worship and draw you closer to God.

3)  Sacrificial Giving is a practical expression of our love for Jesus. Giving is typically the last hold out in our walk with God. We give everything else over to Jesus but our checkbook. (Take a step by clicking on Give-On-Line. It’s under the Worshipping Together link. Why, because giving is an act of loving God and it’s a way for us to become generous by being generous! EFT’s are also a great way of making giving a FIRST priority in your life)

LOVING OTHERS MORE!

4)  Serve/Witness is the practical expression of our love for others. Unless we are serving and witnessing we are not living out our faith in real and practical ways. (Check out Serving Others link to discover ways to share your faith in tangible genuine ways)

5)  Vital Connections like Community Groups, Classes, Men's and Women’s ministry are THE primary tools for faith development. If you don’t do anything else – DO THIS! (Look under Ways To Connect, and sign up for an upcoming class, join a community group or try out a support group ministry)

6)  Personal Development is a way for us to care for our bodies, challenge our minds and address our destructive behaviors. If we are not living healthy, learning more and dealing with our sin we cannot become more and more like Jesus. (Check out the Personal Development link to learn more)
