Need Help?

Counseling

The Pastoral Counseling Ministry has pastoral counselors available to meet with people who are dealing with personal or family life challenges. The Pastoral Counseling Team is dedicated to providing a compassionate listening ear and sound Biblical advice.  See more about Counseling.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are Christian volunteers who are available to support you when dealing with deep personal issues.  Stephen Ministers care by listening, supporting, encouraging, praying, being dependable and trustworthy and maintaining confidentiality in their care-giving.  We all experience challenges in life—times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend.  Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty.  See more about Stephen Ministry.

Support Ministry

Support Ministry is comprised of groups and classes that are led by people who have “been there”. We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we will be there to walk beside you and hopefully provide some tools and resources to get through whatever you are facing.  Whether it’s a major “crisis” – or you just need little help maneuvering through life – support ministry is open to everyone!   See more about our Support Ministry.

Prayer Ministry, Shut-In Ministry and Hospital Care

These ministries work together to provide care to our congregation and our community.  Through prayer requests we can stay involved in others lives, while offering compassion and agreement through our prayer ministry.  If you are hospitalized, home-bound, or for any reason unable to attend worship, our devoted servants will come to you to minister holy communion, bring you flowers and a copy of the traditional worship service on CD.  Truly listening to the heart of an individual is one of the greatest gifts one can give to a person.  EUM’s Hospital Ministry does just that through direct visitation, prayer, and a compassionate presence.  At EUM, the volunteers on call are ready to make visits to hospitals, homes, or convalescent facilities.  See more about the Prayer Ministry, Shut-In Ministry and Hospital Care Ministry.

NextStep Ministries Outreach

At NextStep Ministries our passion is in serving those around us. You will find several ways we serve our community on these pages.  Through the support of our EUM Church family, our outreach to the Darke County area has grown quickly in the last few years and we continue to look to the future. We're learning how to transition our faith into works as we strive to connect with people in need. Our goal is to lessen their physical distress and connect them to Christ to heal their souls through His grace and mercy. As we serve and minister together, we are growing closer to each other, but more importantly closer to our Savior.

NextStep Helps

This ministry provides much needed information to households in need of help with utilities, emergency gas vouchers, prescriptions and many other situations.  We provide some monetary help in emergencies and also provide information on who to contact to obtain answers for some of life’s trying times.

For assistance or more information call 417-9711.

Community Construction

Community Construction is a group of men and women with various skill levels.  The job is assessed by the Core Team and then scheduled with the crew.  The homeowner purchases the materials needed and the Construction Crew provides the free labor.
