The Funeral Ministry offers compassion and assistance to bereaved families at their request by:
Sharing Christ’s love and compassion in time of loss and grief is the focus of this ministry.
Cross – A cross is purchased and delivered to the funeral home or church where the funeral is taking place. The cross represents EUM’s presence at the funeral.
Funeral Meals - When our pastoral staff conducts a funeral or someone in our congregation has a loved one die, we are available to provide a meal at the church for family and friends following the funeral. Libby Koch 548-2440
Grief Booklets – There are a set of four booklets representing different areas of grief. They are sent out at different intervals throughout the first year to help families deal with grief and to share God’s love and hope.

GriefShare® Your Journey from Mourning to Joy, is a 13 week class designed to help the participants recognize where they are in their grief and help them understand the emotions and feelings they are experiencing is part of the grieving process.
After viewing a DVD, trained facilitators lead in a relaxed time of discussion for those who wish to participate in sharing their thoughts. Participants are encouraged to purchase the workbook so they can take notes and follow along with the DVD. The workbook offers daily study guides to help them continue working through their grief between classes.
Watch for details on when this class is offered at EUM Church.
