Pastor's Welcome

Greetings! My family and I are very excited as we transition from Urbana to Greenville and anticipate the great wonders of God at work in our new community! My deepest desire since the day Jesus saved me is to honor Him in all I think, say, and do. Of course, I fall short many times, but God is full of grace and compassion, slow to anger and abounding in love.

I want to share one passion concerning ministry that I bring with me -- incarnational. Incarnational ministry was shown to us through the life of Jesus, our Lord. Incarnation is a theological term describing the presence of God in the life of Jesus. God actually became flesh and lived among us in the person of Jesus Christ! One purpose of God's physical presence with us was to reach us with the Father's love. God's love for you and me is greater than we could ever imagine! We talk often about the death of Jesus on the cross, but do we truly comprehend the immense love behind that act? God's greatest desire is to know and be in relationship with every human to whom he gives life.

Our duty as followers of Jesus is to continue his incarnational ministry by taking God's love to the world, specifically in our situation, beginning with Darke County. There are many ways to accomplish this and from what I have seen and heard so far, EUM is doing just that and I am excited to join you as you faithfully live out God's plan. I commit myself to do all I can to model incarnational ministry, teach the wonderful truths of God's living Word, and walk beside you as we grow together in the knowledge and grace of our loving God.
