Meet the Staff

Pastor Jeff was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1965.  In 1979, he moved to Pickerington, Ohio, where he graduated from Liberty Union High School in 1983.  Jeff graduated from Asbury College in 1987 with a Bachelor in Psychology and from Ashland Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in 1997.  He was ordained a Deacon in 1998 and an Elder in 2000.  Jeff also graduated from the Beeson Doctor of Ministry program at Asbury Theological Seminary on May 21, 2011.

Pastor Jeff has served in full time ministry for 20 years.  In 1991, he served at Trinity United Methodist Church in Pickerington, Ohio as their first youth pastor.  In 1999, he was appointed as pastor to the McComb/Portage charge in McComb, Ohio and in 2008 he was appointed to Urbana United Methodist Church in Urbana, Ohio.  Each of the churches Jeff has served has grown under his leadership.  Jeff also served in the Ohio Army National Guard for five years as the Chaplain of the 612^th Engineer Battalion headquartered in Walbridge, Ohio.  He enjoys serving the Lord, reading, playing golf, target shooting, and spending time with his family. Jeff's favorite place in the world is to be on a lake in northern Minnesota and his favorite bird is the common loon.

Colleen graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in English education and spends most of her time homeschooling the boys. She enjoys scrapbooking, reading, gardening and going on cruises with her husband when they get the chance. She also has a passion to see people grow in their relationship with the Lord.  Jeff & Colleen have been married 20 years and have been blessed with three sons: Caleb, 17; Samuel 14; Daniel, 13. The boys are active in youth group, playing musical instruments, basketball, and soccer.
