FAQs

What do I wear?

  • Don't worry about what to wear.  We are more concerned with meeting your needs than with what you wear.  Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, so dress how you feel comfortable and you'll fit right in.

Got Kids?

  • The children’s experience at EUM is called Kidmunity and is designed uniquely for ages birth through sixth grade. Our nursery, Totspot, provides care for children ages newborn to age 2. Discoveryland is designed for children ages 3 years through Kindergarten. Adventure World is specifically geared towards children in grades 1 - 4.  B.tweens  is a great place if your children are between 5th and 6th grade. No matter what age, your child will experience engaging age-appropriate teaching, music, and activities all developed to point your child toward a daily relationship with Christ. Kidmunity experiences are staffed by dedicated servants who will be there week after week to love and care for your child. Utilizing a check-in system that ensures a safe environment for your child, Kidmunity also allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents. All the Kidmunity servants have had background checks and are dedicated to fulfilling our mission, which is:

The mission of children's ministry is to supplement the family in their quest to build a spiritual foundation by teaching biblical truths in relevant ways, empowering and equipping kids to love God completely and love others radically.  We will attempt to disciple them into fully submitted followers of Christ.

What Can I expect?

  • The very first thing we will ask of you is simple: just relax! Have a cup of coffee on us. You're with friends. Don't worry about being flagged, tagged or pointed out as a "newbie." In fact we won't make you stand-up, clap or do anything you don't feel comfortable doing.
  • "What does a typical service look like at EUM?" Good question! We ask that same question every week. The reality is that each service has its own unique thumbprint. Check out the worshipping together link for more information on each service. However, be assured that whatever service you attend it will include high-impact music and a relevant biblical message. We are willing to take significant risks to communicate God’s word. EUM is a multi-generational church utilizing multi-sensory elements to contextualize without compromising the message of Christ. We welcome individuals of every age and race. The entire service usually runs about an hour. By the way, we will also serve communion once a month at all our services.

How do I get connected or learn more?

  • Our church has made a big commitment to helping people discover their purpose in life and find ways to live it out. The easiest way to do that is to contact EUM's Discipleship Ministry Coordinator, Susan O'Dell. Her job is to help you connect with God and us.

Is EUM Christian Preschool part of EUM Church?

  • Yes. EUM Christian Preschool is a ministry of EUM Church. It is operated under the umbrella of the church. Staff, budgeting and curriculum are overseen by the church. However, the preschool is predominately a self-supporting ministry, meaning that tuition and fees are used directly by the preschool program. The church offsets certain costs of operating the preschool in order to keep our tuition and fees as low as possible. For more information, see EUM Christian Preschool.

What Denomination is EUM Church?

  • We are a United Methodist Church. There are over 37,000 United Methodist Churches in the United States.

Where does all the money we give to the church go?

  • 100% of the money goes to building God's kingdom. It is broken down as follows:
  • About 60% pays salaries of the staff who coordinate and facilitate all our ministries.
  • About 10% is used for buildings and maintenance which provide space for our ministries.
  • Around 20% goes toward supplementing those ministries.
  • About 10% is used for outreach and missions projects.
  • All income and expenses are available to anyone who asks. If you would like a copy of the budget simply contact the church office at 937.548.3211 or info@eumchurch.org.

Why do you have 4 different worship styles?

  • We believe that there is no one right way to worship God. Just as people have different tastes in food, different clothing styles and music preferences, we have different ways of relating to God. We believe by offering different styles of worship we can connect with more people and effectively reach them for Christ. For more information, see "Worshipping Together."
